PawPals is an organization that connects people with shelter animals to benefit both humans and animals. Many people want the companionship of a pet but may not have the time, space, or financial ability to care for one full-time. At the same time, loneliness is becoming a growing epidemic in the United States. PawPals aims to help reduce feelings of loneliness and depression while improving mental health through meaningful interactions between people and animals. By creating opportunities for connection, PawPals supports emotional well-being while also helping reduce the number of animals living in shelters. These interactions provide comfort, companionship, and positive mental health benefits for both the person and the animal.
